Famous for their modern interpretations of bustiers and corsetry, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez’s Proenza Schouler Spring 2017 collection featured familiar Issey Miyake pleats, Alexander McQueen ostrich feathers and their iconic tailored coats in lush prints.
Based in New York, Proenza Schouler was founded in 2002 by the duo, Jack and Lazaro, who met while studying at Parsons School of Design. Jack and Lazaro collaborated together on their senior thesis which turned into the launch of their first collection of Proenza Schouler. Named after the designers mothers maiden names, their collections have become a staple in fashion drawing inspiration from contemporary art and youth culture infused with custom developed fabrics and tailoring.
