FashionCinq à Sept: Best of NYFW 2016

Jane Siskin, formerly a key partner at Seven for All Mankind and Elizabeth and James, launched Cinq à Sept in 2015. The Spring 2017 ready to wear show took place at Dirty French, where croissants where served alongside flowing silk, ruffles, and leopard-prints. The collection resembled a certain '60s and '70s look with archival French prints.

FashionBest of NYFW 2016: Tadashi Shoji

Tadashi Shoji may not be a household name, but his world renowned figure-flattering techniques from draping, ruching and shutter pleats have appealed both to the masses and celebrities. This season, Tadashi found inspiration for his Spring 2017 collection in artist Wu Junyong's video The Flying Ark. The video was of a crane lifting a tree full of animals from a scorched earth. His thoughts were light, life and nature.

FashionBest of NYFW 2016: Veronica Beard

Using their newly opened Madison Avenue store as their stage, the cofounders of Veronica Beard wanted to make the show a memorable event, somewhat of a grand opening of the store and help women fall back in love with brick-and-mortar shopping. Their spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection was classic Americana with a touch of prep, utilizing the upcoming election as their inspiration for the red, blue and white.

Born in Singapore and raised in Nepal, Prabal launched his brand PRABAL GURUNG in 2009. This season, for the Spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection, Prabal was inspired by feminist references, which he translated into a varied lineup focused on loose, fluid silhouettes.

After establishing their career at de la Renta for the last 12 and 6 years as studio directors, the duo took off and created their own label. The Spring 2017 collection was a trendy reiteration of their previous collections – simple shirting, unusual fabrications, asymmetry, high-concept gowns – that incorporated the off-the-should trend seen on the runways this season.

FashionZimmermann: Best of NYFW 2016

Ruffles, lace, tulle, layers and prints recall scenes from Proust's À La Recherche du Temps Perdu. Many of Zimmermann's looks featured the off-the-shoulder trend that seems to be very popular throughout New York Fashion Week and will definitely be seen as we make our way to Spring 2017. A perfect balance of light layers, sheer, and long sleeved crop tops make Zimmermann's outfit a perfect addition to everyone's Spring wardrobe.
