Complement your relaxing visit at Napa Valley’s wineries with a trip to Health Spa Napa Valley, for a complete detox and moment of tranquility.

Napa Valley offers you everything you need to uncork the mystery to a long life. Napa Valley’s main goal is to put you into a state of pure relaxation and utter bliss. They achieve this by feeding you and dining you with the best and highest quality products and pampering you with the best products and remedies. To complete my hedonistic Napa Valley experience and bring it full circle, I decided to visit Health Spa Napa Valley during my time in St. Helena. One of the perks of staying at my boutique inn, The Ink House, was that I had complimentary access to Health Spa Napa Valley. Rather then have to purchase a $35-55 resort day pass, it was included in my stay. For more on my stay at The Ink House, see the article on the bottom of this page.

AMENITIES

Health Spa Napa Valley is located in the heart of St. Helena and offers a variety of services. As part of my complimentary access to the Spa, courtesy of The Ink House, I was able to participate in any of the workout classes available. Workout classes included: TRX, Bootcamp, Yoga, Pilates, and more. It was a hot day in September and the temperature was over 100F, so Pat and I decided to lounge by the pool and cool off.

The inside of the spa seemed as if it were inspired by it’s natural surroundings. Ivy and plants wrapped the inside of the courtyard giving it a winery and airy feel to the resort. The three lane lap pool was encircled by lounge chairs, an outdoor hot tub, and a green oasis of tranquility. Private cabanas were available as well as poolside menus. Complimentary tea or infused water was available inside for everyone to enjoy. I didn’t lounge by the poolside for long though, since I had an appointment for one of their many spa treatments.

MY SPA TREATMENT: ORGANIC FACIAL

Health Spa Napa Valley offered blissful massages, rejuvenating facials, and beauty treatments. The treatment that caught my eye was the Organic Facial. I have very sensitive skin and am very conscious of what I put on it, so the Organic Facial seemed like the right fit! It was pricer than the others, but well worth the price. They used Eminence Organic Skin Care products to cleanse, tone and exfoliate with a mask, serum and moisturizer. Everything my aesthetician put on my face, I wanted to eat. The delicious smell of the Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel 5%, Chocolate Mousse Hydration Masque, and the Firm Skin Acai Masque, made me tempted to lick my lips. But I resisted the urge.

Everything smelled natural, everything felt natural, the massages were relaxing, and the smell of Eucalyptus in the room transported me away from Napa Valley and into my own dreamy state. When my treatment was done, I didn’t want to leave. She blanketed my face with a Bright Skin Moisturizer with 30 SPF, it was a hot and sunny September day in Napa Valley after all, and I was on my way. My skin felt as smooth as I had never felt before. It was firm, plumped, and even though I don’t have many fine lines, I felt like my skin looked more restored. Even Pat commented on how great I looked post facial! If you don’t believe me check out the picture below. I am not wearing make up in the picture and I did not edit it. This is how amazing my Organic Facial was at Health Spa Napa Valley! I can assure you I don’t look like this every single day.

EUCALYPTUS STEAM ROOM

Before stepping back out onto the pool deck, I stepped into Health Spa Napa Valley’s luxurious locker rooms and spent a few minutes in the Eucalyptus infused sauna with a cup of herbal tea. It opened up my pores (and my senses!) before exiting my dreamy state and heading back out to reality. My experience was the last of a 3-step process I like to think Napa Valley puts its visitors through.

  • Step 1: You feel rushed and want to make sure you start checking everything off your itinerary. You wake up early and get a fast start to your day.
  • Step 2: After a day of enjoying wine and meeting the locals, you wake up a bit later and don’t feel as rushed to get through everything, but are still a bit on edge.
  • Step 3: You’ve now enjoyed 2 days of relaxation at the wineries. You don’t feel rushed and go with the flow. To put yourself into the quintessential Napa Valley mindset, you go for a detoxing massage. You’ve now reached utter relaxation and detachment from your everyday life!

Post-facial at Health Spa Napa Valley, I had reached pure relaxation and detachment from everyday life. This was what Napa Valley was all about. I just needed Health Spa Napa Valley to give me that extra push to get there. Although I say by Step 3, you no longer feel rushed, if you plan on booking a spa treatment, do make sure to plan your day around it. Health Spa Napa Valley is very busy and if you come late to your appointment, they won’t be able to reschedule it if they’ve got a full day. So make sure to show up on time!
