Goodbye are the days of driving to ski rental shops and waiting in line to rent skis in Breckenridge. I have been spoiled forever by Rentskis.com with personal ski delivery and pick-up directly to my doorstep.

Usually, I am the one to plan our trips from start to finish down to the last detail. But since we were going on a ski trip, I let Pat, the skiing aficionado, take the reigns on this one. We only had two days in Breckenridge and it was the weekend, so we didn’t want to waste any time off the slopes. Figuring out how to rent skis in Breckenridge in the fastest, cheapest, most efficient way possible was critical.

Pat looked into a few ski rental options and locations before we made it to Breckenridge. Ultimately he decided it was best to go with Rentskis.com. The company delivers skis directly to your doorstep so you don’t need to drive anywhere, get in line, try on skis, and bring them back to your place. The company delivers skis, snowboards, helmets, boots, and poles, across 7 different locations: Colorado, California, Utah, British Columbia, Vermont, New Hampshire and Washington.

The way it works is you choose your destination, select your pick-up and drop-off dates, choose your ski or snowboard equipment including boots and helmet, and proceed to your cart. As you begin check out, you will have the option to pick up your equipment in the store or have it delivered to your doorstep at no extra charge. We chose to have it delivered to our ski on/ski off chalet on the 4 O’Clock run first thing Saturday morning at 8AM. Before you check out, they will ask you for your height, weight, shoe size, and ability level.

Saturday morning we woke up, had a quick breakfast, and Rentskis.com was at our door at 8AM on the dot. They had all of our equipment and some extra in case the ones we had didn’t fit. They were in and out within 10 minutes. If you had any trouble with your equipment while skiing, they have various stations you could stop into to have the equipment repaired or replaced. On our last day, we had them pickup our equipment at 5PM. Pat and I fell in love with the convenience and seamlessness of this business approach. I don’t think I’ll be able to go back to renting skis any other way. And the price? $127 for 2 days, which is actually a pretty good price for the super popular area of Breckenridge, Colorado.

And in case your still not convinced—this is not an advertisement. I was not contacted by Rentskis.com in any way nor did I know about them until Patrick organized this trip.
